A huge welcome to all the paddlers who are joining us for the GREEN KALAHARI CANOE MARATHON!
With only a few days to go before the start of this amazing event, we would like you to take note of the various email addresses, Facebook Accounts and Twitter Profiles to follow. These Social Media streams will enable you, your families and supporters to keep track of what is happening at GKCM, also allowing them to interact with you, the other paddlers, the sponsors and the organisers. Please LIKE, ADD and TAG the various Social Media Forums, and spread the word regarding the main Profiles, Handles and Hash Tags as listed below:

Green Kalahari Itinerary for Paddlers

6th August 2014:
14H00-18H00: Race Registration at Kalahari Mall, Upington at Cape Union Mark.

7th August 2014: Day 1 :{ Upington – Kanoneiland}
09H00-10H00: Race Registration at Waterfront Guesthouse Upington.
10H30 Race Start: Waterfront Guesthouse Upington.

Race Finish at Oranje Rus Resort Kanoneiland: Approximately 12H30.
Prize Giving Day One: Daily Prize Giving Ceremony 1 hour after the winners arrive.
Lunch: Oranje Rus. As soon as Prize Giving finish.

8th August 2014: Day 2: {Keimoes-Kakamas}
09H00 Race Start: Ikaya Keimoes.
Race Finish at Die Mas, Kakamas: Approximately 12H30.
Prize Giving Day 2: 2 hours after winners arrive.
Lunch: Die Mas: As soon as Prize Giving finish.
Die Mas: 18H30: Pete Van Kets and Andrew Kellet talks on Adventure and Paddling.
(Please invite locals to this event as well!)

9th August 2014: Day 3 :{ Kakamas-Augrabies}
10H00: Race Start: Die Mas, Kakamas.
Race Finish at Khamkirri: Approximately 12H00.
Prize Giving: Two Hours after winner’s arrival.
Gala Event Khamkirri:  As soon as Prize Giving finish.
19H00: Khamkirri Party

We have not created a GREEN KALAHARI CANOE MARATHON TWITTER Profile, as we already have most paddlers following the individual profiles below.
